Preschool Information
The Athena-Weston School District preschool is funded through a grant from the Oregon Department of Early Learning. Preschool Promise (PSP) is a free, high-quality preschool program available to Oregon families who are living at or below 200 percent of the Federal Poverty Level in Oregon. The program serves children ages 3-5 (children must be at least 3 or 4 by September 1).
When all spots have been filled with qualifying families, there is the possibility that over-income families may attend.
The AWSD preschool program runs Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 2:45 pm. Our program is led by a licensed teacher with assistance from two para educators. In addition to a rich learning environment, children receive breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Some transportation services are available.
